New design for Kingsley Smythe

17th January 2022 / by Richard Gray

Making it three sites in three weeks this January, we’ve just upgraded long-standing client Kingsley Smythe’s e-commerce website.

Responsive web design for Kingsley Smythe

The first website went live in February 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic when selling at trade fairs was impossible. Website sales quickly took off and the site rapidly became the sales focus for the next 12 months.

During the winter, we spent time with Kingsley Smythe, looking at the website and making several recommendations for areas to improve based on (a) the data we’d collected over the year from Google Analytics, (b) real-world problems the sales and delivery teams were experiencing and (c) our own expertise in running and promoting e-commerce websites.

These recommendations included:

  • A new colour scheme and visual design for the site.
  • A new help-centre bringing together news, guides, aftercare advice, FAQs and contact forms.
  • New functionality to better communicate with customers to keep them informed as to the status of their order.
  • A partnership with Indonesian company Trees4Trees, pledging to replant teak trees for each order taken and giving customers the option to plant additional trees for a small fee.
  • Adding a ‘report a problem’ form to the help centre, allowing customers to easily upload images of issues and report problems to the customer services and aftercare teams at Kingsley Smythe.
  • New printed flyers to include with all orders.

We also made several recommendations around the structure of the digital marketing and SEO campaigns we were running.

The updated website is now available to view and ready for 2022!

"From the first phone call I made to Pink Fish to the current day, their work has been outstanding. They offer continued support, nothing is too much trouble and they react quickly to our ever changing business needs. They have helped the business grow and we look forward to a continued relationship with the company."
