Learn how our Search Engine Optimisation programme, developed specifically for BIL Castors, delivered outstanding results.
We’ve had an excellent relationship with BIL Group in Calne for a little over three years now and have created six websites for them in that time.
BIL Group are manufacturers of castors, wheels and materials handling equipment and supply major UK supermarket chains, motor manufacturing plants, airports and the MOD.
They have an extensive catalogue of over 20,000 castors, wheels, fixings, fittings and moving systems which are easily handled by WooCommerce and WordPress.
As our business relationship with BIL Group developed, they asked us to assist them with their Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) as they did not feel that they were getting the maximum potential from their existing SEO strategy.
We went through a detailed process of identifying their digital marketing objectives, understanding their target audience and reviewing their key competitors to gain an insight into what they were doing to market themselves online.
Following this, we produced a digital marketing strategy that had SEO at its core and focused predominantly on their largest site – BIL Castors and Wheels.
This strategy, implemented throughout 2018, involved technical SEO work, a content development plan and a usability/user experience review – crucial for converting site visitors into customers.
We also reviewed the existing link profile and disavowed a large number of spammy links and created a rolling plan for capturing new, relevant, high quality links. The SEO campaign was closely monitored with detailed monthly reviews with BIL to report on progress and to identify and explain next actions.
At the end of 2018 the website generated revenue for BIL Castors and Wheels had almost doubled from the previous year – up by 83%. When we compared Jan 2018 with Jan 2019 the growth was 102%.
