Anyone looking for vintage clothes to hire or buy now has a new outlet – Jive Vintage. Set up in 2019 but slightly hampered by the Covid-19 pandemic, Jive Vintage has now launched its new website and is raring to go.
Focusing initially on providing a service hiring vintage and “vintage look” shoes, Sarah Harrison’s new business venture looks ready to walk the miles.
The clever part of this build required us to extend an off-the-shelf bookings system for WooCommerce to allow customers to buy, as well as hire, products. All shoes can be hired for a period of time, or bought outright. The booking system allows multiple bookings (at different times) with an in-built turnaround period between bookings.
Refundable damage deposits are charged, and then returned, once items are sent back.
Sarah invested in a professional photographer to take photographs of all her shoes from multiple angles, all of which have been added to the site. As we’ve discussed previously, we think this has made an enormous difference to showcasing the quality of the product on offer.
