New website for BarthHaas Direct

4th January 2023 / by Richard Gray

We kick off the New Year with a new site for BarthHaas Direct – a tie up between BarthHaas X and The Malt Miller.

Responsive web design for BarthHaas Direct and The Malt Miller

BarthHaas are the largest supplier of hops and hop products in the world and the new exclusive B2B sales channel with The Malt Miller offers breweries and homebrewing retailers a way to purchase high-quality small pack products to sell on to their customers.

With the strong ties we’d already established with Malt Miller, we were asked to design and create the new e-commerce sales tool.

The design was straightforward as it needed to reflect BarthHaas’ own site and corporate brand.

The site itself has some interesting e-commerce features including geolocation & currency switching (for European customers to view products and purchase in Euros), user registration and role-based pricing (potentially allowing different customers to see different prices for the same products). There were also rules for minimum order quantities and some customisations around displaying recommended retail prices for product variants.

The website offers an intuitive UX, allowing people to shop by format or variety, and provides lots of information and downloads from BarthHaas for the breweries and homebrewing retailers’ own sites.

We wish BarthHaas Direct every success with the new venture.
