The Malt Miller

Responsive web design for The Malt Miller

We’ve been working with Wiltshire-based The Malt Miller for the past couple of years and began with a straightforward redesign of their ageing CubeCart website.

Implementing a new responsive design we completely re-wrote the site using WordPress and WooCommerce – our e-commerce platform of choice. Malt Miller have hundreds of products and process thousands of orders every month. WordPress and WooCommerce are well-suited to handling large volumes of data.

Building on the work which had started on the old site, we extended their recipe generator feature, allowing customers to create their own recipes, save them, order them and share them with other people via a dedicated section of the online shop.

We extended the functionality WooCommerce offered to print product & shipping labels, packing slips and picking lists. We spent time on the shop floor and in the warehouse observing how products were picked and packed and suggested changes to the paperwork which streamlined these processes and made the picking and packing process more effective.

We work closely with Malt Miller and have regular contact every few days. We’re always making tweaks and changes to the site, adding new features and thinking about the ways in which things could be improved.

We’re currently implementing a series of site-wide modifications which should significantly improve the user experience – particularly on mobile devices – and make it much easier for visitors to place orders.

We’re hoping for this to go live in the summer of 2019.
