New website for Metex

14th December 2020 / by Richard Gray

Metex design and manufacture a range of high-quality products for the construction industry.  We’d worked on the creation of two sites previously, so were delighted when we were asked to work on a larger combined site which would act as a single sales hub for all Metex product ranges.

Responsive web design for Metex

The new site features high-quality imagery of all products, an easy to use shop and several UX enhancements to the shop pages, basket pages and checkout pages to streamline the way customers make purchases.

We teamed up with Hopewiser to provide an address lookup facility on the checkout page (we think this works really well) and used JavaScript to make modifications to the basket page to make it easier to change quantities and see the basket value change in real time.

A bespoke search facility allows customers to find their nearest local stockists.  Metex load the address details of each and a radius search by postcode returns the ones closest to the customer.

We really like this website and think it not only looks great, but is also really easy and enjoyable to use.  Proof that time spent in the wireframing and UX planning stages really does pay off!

Do have a look at their site and see what you think.
