The Process
A simple process that works every time!
We have found from experience that having a tried and tested formula that works, is the best way to make projects run on time and everyone knows what is happening. The process like all good systems is simple, well defined stages that are managed carefully to ensure things get done and budgets are maintained. See below how we run projects to ensure your website gets finished and you are informed every step of the way.
Every website we design we make sure:
- It meets your business objectives.
- User friendly and easy to navigate around.
- Quick to load as a slow website is most likely to lose interest of visitors and turn them away.
- Visually appealing and with a distinct identity to build a lasting impression on the visitors.
- Coherent with your corporate identity and brand image.
- Attract and engage visitors to connect with your business.
- Cross browser compatible.
- Meets your budget and delivered in shortest turnaround time.
- Consistent design throughout the website.
- It is search engine friendly and easy to find.
- We will also submit your website to major search engines.
Each project is unique but we have found through experience that a system in stages ensures that jobs run smoothly and clients always know what is happening.
Step 1 – Initial briefing and quote
We like to meet our new clients and to discuss exactly what you require and expect from the project. After this initial discussion we produce a quote, to show our understanding of what you are looking for and what to expect from Pink Fish. When this is agreed and the contracts are signed and deposit paid we will begin the first stage.
Step 2 – Concept design and quick visuals
We start by producing the look and feel of the website or webshop. This is often from past projects we have delivered or from examples supplied to us by the client. There are many great websites and personal choice is often what clients use to decide which style their business will adapt. By creating custom build websites any design is potentially possible and we will create some flat visuals to show how the home page and concept pages will look. We discuss what you like and listen to all comments making amendments as necessary.
Step 3 – Final Concept Agreement
After a web design concept has been approved we then begin the technical build and apply the chosen design to the platform. Our graphic designer works with the technical architect to ensure the graphics work on the technical platform. We then present the website online to show how it will look and function as a website or shop.
Step 4 – Implementation
We then add the content supplied by the client in the form of Text and pictures these are added to the pages and the website takes shape. We may at this stage set up a holding page with the new or transferred www.address. Email will also be set up at this time. If building an E-commerce online shop we work with suitable platform that are easy to use and work well online.
Step 5 – Live launch
The website is checked for final edits and tested for cross browser viewing. The SEO tagging is applied and the site is posted live to the net and submitted to Google for listing. We work closely with Marketing and SEO partners to make sure the website is visible and get attention from Google and to ensure you rank well for your target audiences
